Investment

The right strategic advice needs to be complemented by a sound investment methodology that delivers the objectives that you set with your adviser.

Our investment process is driven by an extremely robust process:

  • Asset Allocation through a core framework provided by JANA and overlayed with additional research provided by the major investment houses around the world;
  • Investment manager selection utilising the capabilities of research houses Lonsec and ThreeSixty, with ThreeSixty working closely with JANA to match the choice of investment to the JANA Asset Allocation framework;
  • Stock and Sector specific asset selection to add "alpha" to portfolios. We utilise the independent research of Aegis and ThreeSixty as well as broker research provided by ABN AMRO Morgans, Bell Potter, Citigroup, Deutsche, Macquarie, Ord Minnett, UBS and Wilson HTM;
  • A discipline of taking some profits on investments where we deem this appropriate. While it is impossible to get this right all the time, it is important to remember you "don't go broke taking a profit";
  • Finally and most importantly, a focus on investment cashflow, taxation management, portfolio yield and longer term liquidity. Volatility in markets is the rule, not the exception. Our expertise ensures that your portfolio generates sufficient cashflow to allow you to ride the most volatile of investment markets without selling good assets at bad times.

Investing can be a daunting process with any number of pitfalls. A rigorous research process and the experience of a team that invests for your objectives and in line with your strategy, rather than the objectives of thousands of other people is our value proposition to you.
